I believe one of the great blessings living in Utah is getting to go to Temple Square during Christmas time. It wasn't too cold and we only lost half of them once. It is amazing to me that the Spirit is so strong there even on the temple grounds!

Merry Christmas!! This is what we enjoyed Christmas morning. I really enjoyed having the tree in the front window, where everyone could see the lights. In our last home we didn't have a front window, so this is a big treat for us.

Well so many of you have asked to see pictures of our new home so I finally felt like it is "picture"(clean)worthy now. I did warn the kids about the photos but as you can see it didn't help. I took some pictures of the pictures that I still need to hang so if you would like to give your opinion I would really appreciate it!!

Ops it posted backwards so you get to start in the storage room (my favorite) first!
We tried to move the blue couch downstairs but it wont fit! So as you can see watching family movies get a little hard on the bottom. That will probably be our first purchase!! We really do love our new home and were we are living now. The ward has been great. We sure miss and love our Oregon friends and Washington family. Heavenly Father has blessed us beyond what we feel we deserve!!

I haven't done a post in a long time, as you can see. I have taken alot of pictures but just need to upload them and let you know what wonderful things have happened to us in the past few months. We are alive and well living in our new house in Utah. It has been snowing all day and I just love the beautiful sheet of whiteness that I get to experience. Today in church I thought of all the blessings that have come to our family recently. I hope that I can tell you more about it on here soon.

Yesterday was my one and only favorite little girls last day of kindergarten. Amelia has thoroughly loved being in Mr. Tabbs kindergarten class. She has grown so much, that is mentally and physically. Amelia loves to read specially the Book of Mormon reader every night with her Daddy. She loves math and is trying to get Spencer to help her learn even more. She thinks of others, and like Mr. Tabb says "she is always trying her best!" I love you more than life it self Amelia and look forward to many more fun school years with you. Next year Amelia got Mrs. Brown for her teacher and is just thrilled. Spencer had them same teacher and hoped that Amelia would also. She doesn't have any close friends in class with her, but like Amelia said "that's ok because I will get to make NEW ones!" Thanks to Jodi for taking such cute pictures as mom was busy doing the class party!

This year I took on a challenge to make something for every ones birthday this year. I sometimes don't feel very connected to my family and wish we lived closer to each other. I want my children to grow up knowing who they are related too. I had no idea that doing this would touch my heart so much. I haven't had one complaint having to write yet a another birthday message to someone else ( we all write a birthday message on the back of the banner.) I love and admire my children and have enjoyed seeing their little personalities coming out in the little messages that they are sharing with such special people in their lives. I wish that I could keep all of the banners to show them when they grow up. Thank you family for helping me (with no complaints) with my quest!

I think we all need a good laugh once in a while and today was a big one for all of us. Two days ago we finished the Book of Mormon for the 3rd time as a family. YAY !!!!! Since we finished reading it we decided to polish up our "Articles of Faith" memorization. Spencer is the whiz at this and so we had challenges with him today. Brian would shout out an Article of Faith and then we had to say it better than Spencer. Today I failed on the 9th one. I better getting working on them again! It was then time to say family prayer, and today was Spencers turn to pray. We were all ready and then when Spencer opened his mouth the words "We believe" came flying out of Spencers mouth. I think most of us haven't laughed that hard in a long time, it was great!! And I am sure Heavenly Father got a kick out of it as well!

Amelia has been such a sweet daughter lately. When she wants to be kind she has to go all the way and I don't know where she gets it!! LOL Amelia is loving the "Friend" magazine and the online site. In the last issue she saw the strawberry roses and knew right away that she needed to make them for her wonderful kindergarten teacher. We had a lot of fun making them. Amelia great choice and I think Mr Tabb really loved them, because I wanted to take a picture and forgot so I went back to school and he had already eaten two of them.

Well it is time to say
"Happy Birthday" Spencer dear!
Spencer turned nine this year and is still as cute as can bee. We just love having this special spirit in our home. He has so many great qualities: fun to be with, sweet to others, obedient, creative, great helper, good listener, silly, good student, great piano player, good basketball player, and many other things. We are so glad that you are part of our family and teach us so many things.
Spencer had a great birthday party and missed Taylor who couldn't come. And thanks to Janessa for helping out with the cake!

Halloween isn't so great at the Leonard Hive. We have only 1 trick or treater this year because
Dallin and Nicholas are sick and Amelia is throwing a fit. The only brave pirate we have this year is Spencer. I made the costume and Spencer adds just the perfect ARG!! Happy Halloween to everyone.

I don't want to rub it in...but Dallin is finally potty trained and we now have a few extra bucks a month. Thanks Dallin now I can throw away that NASTY smelling garbage pail. Yea for Dallin!!!

I found these shoes on a web-site and thought they were really cute . As soon as I saw them I went to work making them. I think they turned out really cute and can't wait to give them to those ladies whom I visit teach.

During church today Amelia whispered in my ear "Mom that is a big family in front of us" I asked "the Maxwells?" Amelia replied " yes they have so many family members that the dad couldn't come to church today because they didn't have any more room on the bench!" (Bro. Maxwell is on the high counsel and probably had a speaking assignment) I just love that little girl!!!

Today my heart is full of gratitude for 4 WONDERFUL blessings in my life! Two of them started school today and a third will start tomorrow. We have had a really fun summer doing some fun things. I am so grateful for the knowledge that we can be an eternal family. Nicholas and Spencer I hope that you had a great day at school and Amelia I hope you enjoy your day tomorrow as well.

Every year Brian's work has a work picnic. We have been to many places but this year it was back at one of our favorite places ( a retreat in Vernonia). They have a pool, basketball courts, baseball field, and the BIG slip-n-slide. Here is some video of Amelia and Dallin enjoying the fun. Dallin was very nervous to go by himself, so a family friend kindly went with him the first time. And that is all it took and he was ready to do it on his own. We had alot of fun on a hot summer day! Thanks Intel!

Spencers school class did a project about rainbow trout where they actually raised them and then release them in a stream above Hagg Lake. The teachers husband is a reporter for the local news station, and so his class was on T.V. Here is a link to the "eggs to fry" experiment.

We got our yearly kids pictures done @ Kiddie Kandids last week. I just need to say how thankful I am for my kids. I can now book the appoinment on line which is very nice since we live 40 minuets away. We got to Babies"R" Us @ 11:10 and they informed me that I booked @ the Clackamas store instead. There was no way that I would be able to get there so they tried to sneek us in at 12:15 but it turned more into 1:30. So we finally left the store by 2:10 and the kids were STARVED! I think the pictures turned out well and hoped the store survived us rocking in the chairs about a total of 2 hours. The things we do for our kids pictures.

Halloween came and went and I am just getting time to post the costume pictures.

Nicholas is a naurto character, Spencer didn't let me get a picture of him - he was a clone tropper, Amelia was princess leia , and Dallin was a pirate. We had a lot of fun and the best news was it didn't rain.
